Jan-Vegard Nilsen joined the research team in august 2017 as a PhD-candidate. He is a clinical psychologist and has 20 years of experience from the ED field, primarily as a clinician. As a researcher he specializes in qualitative methods and is especially interested in the experiences of patients and family-members during and after treatment and the effects of treatment. Jan-Vegard is also involved in the training and supervision of treatment providers for EDs. In his PhD research, Jan Vegard used interview data from the project “Family-based inpatient treatment for anorexia nervosa: a follow-up study”. Jan-Vegard is also involved in research on Multifamily therapy, CogFam and TBT-S.
