Maria Aanesland Dahle, PhD candidate Mads H. Haugen's "Molecular precision medicine in breast cancer" project group at the Department of Tumor Biology, has been awarded the NTNU "Best Master of Technology" prize for 2022. She earned the award for her MSc-work at the Department of Physics at NTNU, with Kathrine Røe Redalen as supervisor.
Maria has since continued her excellent work as a PhD candidate at the Institute for Cancer Research  where she is currently working on the HSØ-funded project PROPHECY.

The PROPHECY project is focused on large scale proteomic analyses of breast cancer patients in the I-BCT clinical trial.

In PROPHECY Maria is using both her wet-lab and computational skills to develop novel approaches for predicting and monitoring response to neoadjuvant treatment with chemotherapy supplemented with carboplatin.
