The Nikkilä Memorial Lecture Award for 2022: Prestigious European prize to Bente Halvorsen

Professor Bente Halvorsen from the Research Institute of Internal Medicine has received The Nikkilä Memorial Lecture Award for 2022. This is a prestigious European award within atherosclerosis research organized by Scandinavian Society of Atherosclerosis Research (SSAR).  

Halvorsen received the award due to her world leading translation research and her scientific contribution in field of cardiovascular diseases with the several highly rated publications where underlying mechanisms for diseases development are identified.

Halvorsen received the prize at 28th SSAR Meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark,  April 6, 2022.
