Summary

The work of testing in-house reverse transcriptase and real-time PCR chemistry was performed form March 2020 until beginning of 2021. The chemistry testing was performed at the department for tumor biology within Professor Eivind Hovig’s group. The data presented in the result section is a representative selection of tests that was performed. In summary, in-house produced reverse transcriptase (Mashup) and DNA polymerase (Taq) performed equal to commercial available chemistry. However, no data on long term storage and possible effect of storing the chemistry has been produced. Since the need for testing has dramatically dropped in Norway due to high vaccination coverage, 66.4% have received two doses while 76% of population has received 1 dose (16/9/21), the work has been terminated.  This work was financially supported by South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority.
