Øyvind Rø
- Research Director; MD, PhD
Øyvind Rø, MD, PhD is the research director at Regional Department for Eating Disorders (RASP), Professor of Psychiatry at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Oslo University and part time psychiatrist at Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee. He has been working in the field of eating disorders for more than 25 years and has extensive clinical, administrative and research experience in eating disorders. In addition to his position as a research director at RASP, he works as a clinician at the department. Dr. Rø has organized numerous workshops and hosted a number of educational programs for eating disorders. He is the coordinator of the National Eating Disorder Network in Norway, and head of the steering group of the National Quality register for Eating Disorders in Norway (NORSPIS). His primary research interests include the assessment, outcome and treatment of eating disorders. Dr. Rø has co-authored more than 100 scientific publications, has supervised 12 PhD students, and is the principal investigator for the CogFam study.
