ColoGuideEx receives attention

A prognostic test for colorectal cancer, developed by researchers at the Department of Cancer Prevention, receives attention from international researchers and from Norwegian media. The test, named ColoGuideEx, is a gene signature, where gene expression measurements from tumour tissue aid in prognostication of stage II colorectal cancer. The test was earlier this year published in the journal GUT.

ColoGuideEx was highlighted in the lecture "Is gene signature based selection ready for clinical use?" by Pierre Laurent-Puig, MD, PhD, during the 14th world congress on Gastrointestinal cancer organized by The European Society of Medical Oncology in June.
