Division of Orthopaedic Surgery
The Division of Orthopaedic’s research activity is organized into 9 different research groups covering a broad range of basic and clinical research with an overall aim to improve patient care with emphasis on diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive measures. Most group leaders have a combined position at Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo. In total the Division has 7 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, postdoctoral fellowships, several PhD students and administrative and technical staff.

The research unit
The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery has a Research Unit, localized at Ullevaal, Building 72 (Kiwi), 2nd floor. The Unit has 14-16 office spaces and a meeting room, which are available for researchers and clinicians involved in research at the Division. The orthopaedic surgeons/clinicians are mainly located at their own offices at the hospital (Building 19), while most of the physiotherapists and nurses are located at the Research Unit.
