Acta Orthopaedica is the new official publisher of the IRSA congresses
Acta Orthopaedica is proud to announce that of May 2025 will be the new official publisher of the IRSA congresses.
Acta is a natural journal for IRSA to publish in, as our journal has a long tradition of publishing RSA research. We have many reviewers highly qualified in evaluating RSA studies.
The International Radiostereometry Society (https://radiostereometry.org/) promotes research and development in radiostereometry (RSA) and related sciences throughout the world. The society promotes the propagation of scientific information and encourages progression the field of radiostereometry in all its aspects, including research, education and clinical application.
IRSA arranges biennial congresses with the presentation of original research. Full manuscripts develop from presented abstracts, can be submitted to Acta Orthopaedica and published as an IRSA article.

In order to stimulate academic sharing and social connection among members of the RSA Society we iniate a series of 1-hour online meetings where RSA research groups take turns presenting / sharing on different topics followed by a discussion.
Our next presenter will be: Lars Engseth, MD, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, Oslo University Hospital Ullevål, Norway

Radiostereometric analysis (RSA) is the gold standard for in-vivo migration analysis, but computed tomography (CT)-based alternatives have shown comparable results in the shoulder and hip. We have previously validated a CT-based migration analysis method (CT-RSA) in a knee phantom compared to RSA. In this study, we validated the method in a medial pivot total knee arthroplasty.
We very much look forward to your participation!
