Research projects
Our aim is to identify the cellular origins of breast tumors and the mechanisms behind tumor initiation and further development into the heterogeneous molecular subtypes. We are particularly interested in DCIS and the transition to invasive carcinomas. Through an increased understanding of how tumors progress to more advances stages, improved strategies for early intervention and more precise treatment can be developed.
These are our current projects:
- Understanding Ductal Carcinoma In Situ
- The role of FGFR1 in driving luminal breast tumor progression
- Comparative Oncology: What can canine mammary gland tumorigenesis teach us about human breast cancer?
- Improved classification of Endometrial Cancer by integrated genomics
