Institute seminar April 6th Ståle Nygård – Dept. of Core Facilities

Ståle Nygård

The next Institute seminar will take place Wednesday April 6th at 12:00 in the Auditorium, IKF, Montebello. Ståle Nygård from the Dept. of Core Facilities will talk about the Bioinformatics Core Facility.

The Bioinformatics Core Facility at the Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo offers researchers help analyzing large-scale biological data. The help covers a range of services within bioinformatics, including analysis of high-throughput sequencing data, microarray data, proteomics data, protein structure analysis, statistical genomics and access to useful databases and web services. In this talk I will focus on bioinformatics methods and competencies particularly relevant for cancer research, and the aim is to give people at the Institute an idea of how they can make the most of the Bioinformatics Core Facility.
