Tore-Geir Iversens research presented in forskning.no
The Norwegian popular science web site "forskning.no" has recently published an interview with Tore-Geir Iversen about the ongoing research in his project group at the Department of Biochemistry at the Institute for Cancer Research.
The article (in Norwegian) focuses on his important work on the uptake of various nanoparticles into cells.
The group discovered that nanoparticles such as toxin-quantum dot nano-conjugates accumulated in endosomes and did not travel to the Golgi, ER, or cytoplasm. Importantly, they were also the first to demonstrate that nanoparticles caught in endosomal compartments can perturb normal cellular transport.
