Kasumi Masuda, PhD, Section Chief, is a radiological technologist at Sumitomo Life Multiphasic Health Test System, Osaka, Japan.
Kasumi Masuda graduated from Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, Division of Health Sciences, and completed her doctoral course in 2008.She is specialist medical sonographer (The Japan Society of Ultrasonics in Medicine). She began researching ultrasonic diagnostics in 2002, and from the beginning of the development of speckle tracking, she had been conducting research on establishing an ischemia diagnostic method using this method.
She also specializes in research on cardiac function analysis using animal models. She has spent two research periods in our lab and been involved in research on left ventricular dysynchrony and has presented several abstracts at international conferences from this work.
