Ole Jakob Sletten
- PhD fellow, MD
Ole Jakob Sletten graduated as a Medical Doctor in 2016 from Jagiellonian University of Krakow. Since then he has been working at Møre og Romsdal Hospital, Division Kristiansund, as part of his internship. He joined our research group in March 2018. Sletten has since 2018 worked as a resident in internal medicine at Diakonhjemmet Hospital, and as of September 2023, his clinical work continue at Stavanger University Hospital.
His PhD work focuses on left ventricular function and the effect of increased afterload; both during left bundle branch block and in patients undergoing chemotherapy.
His supervisors are Helge Skulstad, MD, PhD, Otto Smiseth, MD, PhD and Espen Remme, MSc, Dr.Ing.
Sletten has published two studies in JACC Cardiovasc Imaging And J Am Soc Echocardiogr and presented several abstracts at international and national conferences and has also been distinguished for his work on assessing ventricular function during elevated afterload.
