Identifying Disordered Eating Among Youth with Overweight/Obesity
Disordered types of eating behavior is common among youth and adolescents with higher weight. These behaviors are often associated with negative quality of life, distress, and impairment, yet they are often undetected despite warranting specific clinical attention. To facilitate detection, healthcare providers would benefit by knowing which assessment instruments are available. The purpose of this scoping review is to identify self- and parent-reported questionnaires which have been used to measure disordered eating behaviors within this population.
