Trends in the Prevalence and Incidence for Healthcare-Detected Eating Disorders

Trends in the Prevalence and Incidence for Healthcare-Detected Eating Disorders:  This line of research investigates time trends in the age- and sex-specific incidence of healthcare-detected anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN) using data from the National Patient Register. After the release of the 2022 data from the NPR, we aim to examine trends related to the COVID-19 pandemic on the incidence and prevalence of eating disorders across the pre-pandemic, pandemic, and post-pandemic period.
