Åste Søvik: doctoral disputation June 15th, and paper selected for high-lights in IJROBP.

Åste Søvik from Dag Rune Olsen's group at the Department of Radiation Biolgy defended her thesis, entitled ‘Biologically adapted radiotherapy and evaluation of non-uniform dose distribution’ for the PhD degree on Friday June 15th.
One of Søvik’s papers - "Radiotherapy Adapted to Spatial and Temporal Variability in Tumor Hypoxia"- was recently selected as high-light paper by the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics (IJROBP).

IJROBP has an impact factor of 4.56 and is the highest ranked journal in radiation oncology.

Søvik has been a PhD student in prof. Dag Rune Olsen’s group and is now employed as post doc. research fellow.
