Who is KLM-TEC and what do we do?

KLM-TEC stands for Klinikk for Laboratoriemedisin (Division of Laboratory Medicine) Temporary employees committee. The group consists of representatives from each of the seven departments at KLM. We are an interest organization for PhDs, Postdocs, and temporary scientific employees at Oslo University Hospital (OUH) and University of Oslo (UiO).

  • We are a low-threshold contact point for temporary staff (including PhDs and Postdocs) on matters related to education, supervision, regulations, working environment, etc.
  • We represent the interest of PhD candidates, Postdocs, and temporary employees at Forskningsutvalget at KLM (the KLM research committee). The research council consists of the heads of the departments at KLM, who discuss matters of importance to the clinic. We attend these meetings and provide input.
  • We work in close collaboration with the PhD representative at UiO, UiODoc and Forskerforbundet.
  • We arrange events that range from scientific and social meetings to soft skills courses. These events create low-threshold networking opportunities for the temporary employees at KLM.
