The research unit
The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery has a Research Unit, localized at Ullevaal, Building 72 (Kiwi), 2nd floor. The Unit has 14-16 office spaces and a meeting room, which are available for researchers and clinicians involved in research at the Division. However, the orthopedic surgeons/clinicians are mainly located at their own offices at the hospital (Building 19), while most of the physiotherapists and nurses are located at the Research Unit.
The Unit has five research coordinators (three nurses and two physiotherapists), who offer administrative and clinical assistance to researchers and clinicians. The coordinators are typically involved in multicenter studies and international research projects.
