Mladen Veletic is a researcher at the Technology and Innovation Clinic (The Intervention Centre), Oslo University Hospital and the Department of Electronic Systems, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He completed a Ph.D. in Electronics and Telecommunications at the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, NTNU. He is the author of 40+ academic papers published in leading journals and conferences of communications engineering, bioengineering, and medicine.
He serves as the General Co-chair of the 8th Workshop on Molecular Communications (Oslo, April 2024), TPC Member of the ACM International Conference on Nanoscale Computing and Communication (NanoCom), and TPC SAC Member of the IEEE Global Conference on Communications (GLOBECOM). He was the Publication Chair of the 7th ACM International Conference on Nanoscale Computing and Communication (NanoCom) and Publication and Registration Chair of the IEEE International Symposium on Medical Information and Communication Technology (ISMICT).
He is currently the Associate Editor of the IEEE Communications Letters and Research Topic Editor of 6G’S MOLECULAR/BIOLOGICAL LAYER AND THE INTERNET OF NANO THINGS in the Frontiers in Communications and Networks. He served as the Guest Editor of the Special Issue on MOLECULAR COMMUNICATIONS FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPEUTIC DEVELOPMENT OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES in the IEEE Transactions on Molecular, Biological and Multi-Scale Communications.

Mladen Veletić's research interest is in applying communication and information engineering approaches to establish models and theories of biological communication systems that are envisioned to lead to breakthrough theranostic (therapeutic & diagnostic) medical intervention.
