Microarrays are today used in many research laboratories and clinics, so also in Norway. A Norwegian researcher, Ola Myklebost, was one of the fathers of one of the most important Scandinavian networks. His contact with Åke Borg and later their mutual contact with Joakim Lundeberg from Stockholm led to a cooperation on microarray technology and large library of human cDNA probes. Further information on what is happening in the Norwegian microarray community is provided by the Norwegen Microarray Consortium, a collaborative effort of the Universities of Trondheim, Bergen and Oslo.
