Cecilie Benedicte Isern is a medical doctor with a special interest in research on cardiac arrest. She is currently working on a PhD on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the young population of Norway, and its relation to exercise habits. The PhD-project investigate the incidence of exercise-related out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in Norway, risk factors and symptoms prior to the incident, etiology of- and quality of life after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
