Biobanking Procedures and Practices
The Department of Pathology has standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the receipt, biobanking (processing) and storage of biological materials from patients. These procedures exist to both facilitate optimal diagnoses by the pathologists and to ensure that any biobanked patient material will have been processed in an optimal manner. These procedures can be found in the eHandbook under the Department of Pathology; they are written in Norwegian but are currently being translated to English.
