New perspectives in the treatment of personality disorders in older adults: Evidence-based psychological practice.
This project is in progress as a research article, and is a collaboration between the research unit and clinical psychologists in the Department of Old Age Psychiatry.
Personality disorders (PD) represent serious health problems for older adults, where the incidence is high and the consequences are serious. PD is therefore a current issue for many psychologists who work in healthcare. The aim of the project will be to summarize what recent research says about the characteristics of PD in older adults, approaches for assessment and treatment, and to discuss how this knowledge can be integrated into clinical-psychological work.
