Abhilash completed his masters in molecular biology in Sweden and the USA. He has vast experience in histology and immunology research, and previously studied regulatory proteins in first trimester trophoblasts and other human pathophysiological tissues. He identified a novel subset of inflammatory Natural Killer cells (NK17/NK1) in patients with a neurodegenerative disease - Multiple Sclerosis. He has been part of our group since June 2016, and working on novel approaches in cancer therapy (targeted therapy) using drug-loaded nanoparticles (NPs). He studies toxicity, biodistribution and treatment response in different in vivo mice tumor models.  He is also determining NP induced immune response and examining presence of immune cells in the tumors.
