Jovana Bisevac got her PhD (Philosophiae Doctor degree)  Friday 13th of March on the Thesis: 
The limbal stem- and lens epithelial cell involvement in anterior segment diseases and treatment"

Trial lecture: "Alternative sources of limbal stem cells and their niche being explored for clinical applications"

9-11 October 2025: International Conference Contributions

The group actively disseminated its research at several international and national meetings, including the 28th EVER Congress in Florence, where the group presented two oral presentations and two posters.

 

Poster Award

At the EVER Congress, Vojtěch Haničinec was awarded the Best Poster Prize for the presentation:
“Circulating Tumor DNA as a Biomarker for Surveillance of Uveal Melanoma.”

 

Nordic Scientific Collaboration

At the Nordic Melanoma Meeting in Tromsø, the group presented new results on the development of transcriptomic atlas of uveal melanoma, highlighting ongoing collaborative efforts in melanoma research across the Nordic region.

 

Science Communication and Outreach

The group also contributed to public engagement during Arendalsuka 2025, where Henrik Jespersen and Agate Noer gave a presentation titled “Uvealt melanom – en oversett og dødelig kreftform,” raising awareness about this rare but serious cancer.
