After graduating with honors from Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland, Dr Bjerre Trent returned to Norway for her internship at Ringerike Hospital and Rennesøy county. She subsequently initiated training in obstetrics and gynecology at Tønsberg and Bærum Hospitals, completing her residency at Oslo University Hospital in 2019.
Dr Bjerre Trent currently holds a position as research fellow in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology, Norwegian Radiumhospital, Oslo University Hospital. She is enrolled in the PhD-program at the University of Oslo and divides her time 50/50 between clinical duties and research. Dr. Bjerre Trent’s research focus is endometrial cancer, specifically oncologic outcomes, quality of life and health system cost after implementation of sentinel lymph node biopsy in intermediate- and high-risk endometrial cancer in the SENSOR-project.
Dr. Bjerre Trent is a member of several national and international societies, and was recently elected the Norwegian national representative to the European Network of Young Gynecologic Oncologists (ENYGO).
