NoSarC – Norwegian sarcoma consortium, nationally collaboration for improved of sarcoma
Project leader: NoSarC – Norwegian sarcoma consortium, nationally Ola Myklebost, Oslo University
The NoSarC project is a large national collaboration where sequencing data is used in combination with other molecular techniques to investigate new approaches in connection with diagnosis and treatment. Samples have been collected from most sarcoma patients in Norway over the past 3 years and all genes in 300 tumors are sequenced.
The project has been going on for about 30 years, and the current main effort is supported by the Norwegian Cancer Society, the Research Council of Norway, Helse SørØst and Radium Hospitalets Legat.
More information about the studies can be found on the website sarcom.no and Myklebost.uib.no
