What is subcontracting?

Smaller or specific task may be subcontracted to a third party. The partner buys a service from another company and use the results in the project. However, the partner buying the service is fully responsible for the delivery to the project.

Subcontracting should have been agreed upon in the proposal phase and is included as part of the contract in Annex 1.

New subcontracts after the contract is signed requires and amendment. This is a longer process and should in most cased be avoided.
