About the group

We conduct research in various areas within kidney medicine, through epidemiological, mechanistic and clinical studies.

Hypertension and cardiorenal aspects

Our group has a long tradition of studies clinical on hypertension, and hypertension will remain a priority in our research portfolio in cooperation with Section of Cardiovascular and Renal Research OUH.

Projects on cardiorenal aspects beyond hypertension has emerged the later years and will remain a main pillar of our research priority in the years to come.

The Dialysis Center at OUH

We cooperate closely with the Oslo University Hospital (OUH). The hospital has a large dialysis centre with leading specialists in peritoneal dialysis.

The Ullevål dialysis Registry supplements data from the Norwegian Renal Registry, including biobank material and cardiovascular and infectious outcomes. Ullevål dialysis registry enable epidemiological and mechanistic studies on outcomes in our dialysis population.
