I am a research technician working with a variety of the projects in the Genome Dynamics group, in addition to trying to keep the lab running as smoothly as possible. My main methodological focus is cloning, purification and characterization of recombinant proteins. The characterization involves sometimes structural studies as well as protein interactions and enzyme activities. I’m currently involved in projects on DNA repair in Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Neisseria meningitidis and in projects studying the mechanisms for horizontal gene transfer in Neisseria meningitidis.
