Activities and Current Projects
The group is actively engaged in several clinical studies including RCTs.:
- The BIP-DPS Study: This project aims to better understand outcomes and functioning in bipolar disorder through prospective digital characterization in clinical settings including actigraphy and a smartphone app. We developed the MinDag (My Day) app, which captures high-resolution longitudinal data on mood, sleep, activity, substance use and psychotic symptoms. Ongoing time-series analyses investigate the "chicken and egg" paradox of whether mood drives substance use or vice versa.
- The Unified Protocol Study: A feasibility trial exploring the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in a group format for early-course bipolar disorder. Gruppeterapi som styrker følelsesmestring ved bipolar lidelse - Oslo universitetssykehus HF
- The PEDAL Study: A randomized controlled trial evaluating Group Psychoeducation with Digital Elements and Focus on Affective Lability. This project modernizes traditional psychoeducation by adding digital tools and specific modules on emotion regulation.
