Kjetil Bremer has a primary interest in psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic change for people with personality disorders. He is also interested in therapist development, including the person of the therapist, skill acquisition and supervision.

Kjetils Ph.D project examines patients with personality disorder in Norway and their change in therapy. The project explores the potential development of personality functioning, alliance and psycho- social functioning during therapy. Data stems from the Norwegian Network for Personality Disorders, a multicentre clinical research collaboration including twenty treatment units in Norway.
