Super Resolution Microscopy Core Facility Opens at OUS
A new core facility dedicated to super resolution microscopy (SRM) has opened at Oslo University Hosptital. The facility is made up of two nodes, which are located at Gaustad and Montebello, respectively. The twin nodes are providing OUH and UiO researchers with complementary state-of-the-art imaging techniques.
At Gaustad Stimulated Emission depletion (STED) microscopy is offered, on a Leica SP8 gated CW-STED microscope. Montebello offers users Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM), on an OMX V4 Blaze 3D-SIM microscope from Applied Precision. Both facilities have dedicated full-time managers who will assist users with information on sample preparation and with super resolution microscopy.
Researchers interested in superresolution microscopy can find contact information to the facility leaders and managers, as well as further information on the technologies, on the homepages listed in the links below.
