  • +47 23002770
Marton König has completed his medical studies at Semmelweis University Budapest and at the University of Oslo. He conducted research focusing on the role of cannabinoid receptors of the human hippocampus in temporal lobe epilepsy and the development of Purkinje-cells of the cerebellum. He also worked as an intern at the Department of Neurosurgery, Oslo University Hospital (OUH)  in the last two years of his studies. After finishing his medical degree in 2010, he completed an internship in Northern-Norway, followed by 4,5 years at the Department of Neurology at Ostfold Hospital Trust. He worked as a resident, researcher and lecturer at the Department of Neurosurgery, OUH between 2016 and 2021. He completed his PhD degree in 2020 at the University of Oslo, after investigating the multidisciplinary treatment of high-grade malignancies of the skull base. He worked as an associate editor in the Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association between 2018-2020 and is currently associated to the journal as a neuroscientific counsellor.

Marton König works as a consultant and postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Neurology, Oslo University Hospital, and as a lecturer at the Departments of Neurology and Behavioural Medicine at the University of Oslo. He is a key researcher in NevroVAX, a study investigating the development of post-vaccination immunity in people with MS, and is involved in research projects focusing on the treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis (NOR-MS, OVERLORD-MS, GAP-MS).
