Esther Scheirlynck

Esther studied medicine at the Free University of Brussels, followed by one year of internal medicine. In August 2016 she started her PhD project entitled "Sudden cardiac death and imaging in structural and non-structural heart disease" at the Cardiology department of the Brussels University Hospital, supervised by Bernard Cosyns MD PhD and Steven Droogmans MD PhD. She is at the Center for Cardiological Innovation as a visiting researcher for a period of 12 months, working under the supervision of Professor Thor Edvardsen and Associate Professor Kristina Haugaa.
