Eystein is a PhD fellow at Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet

He got his MD at NTNU in 2002 He is a board certified Specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiology form Bærum Hospital, and the University Hospital of North Norway (Tromsø).

He started as a PhD fellow at CCI in March 2017. His PhD research is titled "Impact of exercise on myocardial function and ventricular arrhythmias in patients with cardiomyopathies" and "risk markers for sudden cardiac death in patients with valvular heart disease"

Supervisors are: Associate Professor Kristina Hermann Haugaa, MD, PhD and Professor Thor Edvardsen, MD, PhD.
