Xuyang Yuan holds an MSc in Computer Science from The University of Tokyo. He has previously been working in the oil industry with Riser Tensioner Control Systems (RIT) and sensor data, and as a developer of engineering tools and data analytics software. 

He is now mainly working with pipeline development for genetic variant calling, annotation and interpretation from high-throughput sequencing data.
