Abdominal pain in COVID-19 patients

We have experienced several patients admitted with acute abdominal pain, without radiological findings of abdominal disease by CT scans, that by accident have been identified as covid-19 from pulmonary concomitant CT findings. The patients did not have typical symptoms of covidien-19 disease, and were not identified as potential covid-19 patients at prehospital triage. We wish to present our experience and findings as clinicians should be aware of the possibility of covid-19 disease with asymptomatic presentation in form of acute abdominal symptoms. Routines for handling admission of patients with acute abdominal symptoms may need to modified during the covid-19 pandemic.
