Clinical research projects
Group members are involved in clinical studies focusing on non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease, treatment effects of deep brain stimulation and longitudinal studies of Parkinson's disease.
Laboratory based studies are based on collected biological material and clinical information from a series of Parkinson's disease patients and controls. Inclusions in studies are ongoing. To date, data from >550 unrelated Norwegian patients and >500 healthy controls have been collected. Samples are stored in a research biobank located at Oslo University Hospital (managed by the group).
