Dept members publish a resource paper of colorectal cancer cell lines
Christian Kranjec and Ina Eilertsen, researchers in the Lothe lab are shared 1st and corresponding authors presenting mutation profiles of > 100 colorectal cancer cell lines. Authentication is shown by an STR profile for each cell line. Mutation data includes classifications of pathogenicity, variant allele frequencies and illustrations of the mutation distribution along the length of encoded proteins.
The study is a resource to guide selection of cell lines for functional studies of colorectal cancer and has received interest already by > 1500 accesses the first 14 days after publication.
