DNA ploidy - histograms

Explanation to the histograms:

IOD: Integrated Optical Density. The summation of grey levels of all the nuclei pixels compared to the area of the nuclei. A big and dark nuclei have a higher IOD than a small light nuclei.

1C, 2C, 3C etc.: Amount of chromatin in a nucleus. A peak at 2C (G0/G1) is normal in a ordinary, non-dividing nucleus.
