Cells having 2 sets of chromosomes (non-dividing somatic cells). |

Tetraploid |
Cells having 4 times the haploid number of chromosomes. |

Polyploid |
Cells having more than 2 chromosome sets (as triploid, tetraploid etc.). |

Aneuploid |
Cells having more or less than an exact multiple of the haploid number of chromosomes. |
