Petter Andreas Steen awarded the first "Researcher of the Month" prize from "Helse Sør-Øst"

The South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst) has introduced a monthly appointment of "Researcher of the Month", starting January 2010.
The first researcher to receive this honor is Petter Andreas Steen from the Division of Prehospital Medicine at Oslo USH.
Steen has previously been awarded a number of prestigious national and international prizes, such as the King's gold medal and one of the foremost decorations from the American Heart Association - "Giant of Resuscitation".

About the prize:
The South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority wants to profile and make visible some of the ongoing excellent research i the region. This is done - from January 2010 and onwards - by calling special attention to a "Researcher of the month".
Research is an area of commitment for the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority, which spends a total of 1.4 thousand million NOK on research every year.
